After completing boot camp in Orlando, Florida, he attended the Navy’s Aircraft Electronics School and the Aircraft Electricians School in Millington, Tennessee. He then was stationed to NAS Jacksonville for 5 years assigned to VP-5 working as an Aircraft Electrician on the P3-C Orion aircraft. In 2007 Jerry accepted a position as the Avionics Manager for Select Avionics, a new company being opened at McKinney National Airport. The business has since thrived thanks to a satisfied repeat and referral customer base. In 2012, Jerry purchased Select Avionics from the original owner and assumed the day to day operations. However, dedication to his clients remains the top priority.

In addition, he attends multiple vendor training sessions throughout the year to stay abreast of the latest technology available for his clients.
